Shalom All: I recently spent quite a bit of time editing a book about the end times, and naturally, the subject of the Rapture comes up when you address this issue This experience has caused me to begin examining the subject in detail. Therefore, of those who feel they understand and embrace the idea of the restoration and reunion of both the houses of Israel, Ephraim and Judah, I want to ask: How do you feel about the Rapture? Would you please be kind enough to participate in an opinion poll and briefly share your views with me? It would help me if you could copy the text from one of the categories listed below, then click on my email address link, This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , and paste the text into the email. If you have a favorite teaching, or point that you want to share, I will do my best to read it and respond, however, the thing I am most interested in finding out is, where do the majority of those who understand about the restoration of Israel’s Kingdom stand in regard to the Rapture theory? It seems there are four primary camps that the various Rapture opinions fall into, all of it based on what is known as “Daniel’s 70th Week,” which results in 7 years of end-time Tribulation. The primary categories are:
If we wanted to be humorous, we could add another category:
I personally believe we are here for the duration. Our forefathers saw tribulation when the wrath of the Almighty was being poured out on Pharaoh. His firstborn died, but those who belonged to an Israel that was covered by the blood of the lamb survived. There was darkness in Egypt, but more importantly, there was light in Goshen. Similarly, I believe we are here to help in every way that we can to restore the Messiah’s Kingdom to Israel. In this effort, some of us may be called upon to give our lives for our faith, and some of us may be “hidden” even as our forefathers were hidden and protected by the Almighty. Either way, we will be a testimony for the Almighty God we serve. If there is a Rapture prior to the very end, then surely we should all hope we can get on the “Rapture Bus.” However, we do not think it is wise to spend time waiting at a bus stop, hoping the bus will take us out of here. We instead think we should spend our time building Highways that will lead the saints to Zion. I pray I have not offended anyone by briefly expressing my opinion here, and I pray all of you will please be kind enough to respond with an email about where you stand on this subject. Please do not just hit “Reply” with this email, because our webmaster will then have to forward your response to me. I hope to hear from you soon.
