Shalom All:
Many good changes have been taking place in the Messianic Israel Alliance. It is now being overseen by the Shepherds Council, and we, Angus and Batya Wootten, have finally been freed to go out and minister to and meet with the people. (We hope to see lots of you at the MIA Shavuot Conference in Salt Lake or at the Labor Day Conference in Orlando!) While we are still working to fully turn things over to the Shepherds, we are truly excited about this change and about the opportunities that now lie before us.

Change also has come to our prayer group, which is the reason for this letter.

First, we want to thank all who have prayed for us in the past. To each of you let us say that your efforts are appreciated much more than you know. As many of you know, we have had a Prayer Group on line, however, because we have had problems with Yahoo, we have decided to move the prayer group to another server, where we have other discussion groups, such as Messianic Israel Talk—which we invite you to join.

We invite those of you who have prayed for us in the past to please join us in this new group, which is described as follows:

The purpose of the MIA-Shomrim/Watchmen Prayer Group is to under gird the people and the purposes of the Messianic Israel Alliance with sincere prayer. Needs and requests are brought before the people via this forum. We are asking YHVH to raise up a network of praying people who will intercede for the restoration of all things to the whole house of Israel. Even as the disciples asked the Messiah, so we too are asking our Father to “teach us to pray.” We also are asking Him to give us a vision for His purposes in the earth, so that we might pray effectively. For we know that “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 5:16). In other words, those who actively care about an issue, are even ready to beg the Almighty for answers, and who are made righteous in the Messiah, their prayers will make a big difference.

We are seeking for Believers who truly care about what the Father wants in order to restore all Israel, who truly want to be led by His Ruach, and who will cry out to Him until they and the situation they are praying about are filled with His glory. We are a people who pray in the Name of our Messiah, Yeshua, for He is our Cohen HaGadol, our High Priest, the One who ever lives to make intercession for us.

We are choosing the road of an “invitation only” group because we are very serious about the need for prayer covering, and about “knowing those who labor among us” (1 Thes 5:12, KJV). We want to “get personal” about our prayer and want it to be done among friends. Prayer covering is a very serious and needful thing, and we want to be sure that we know into whose hands we give ourselves.
