We are counting the omer towards Shavuot - seven Sabbaths plus one day (Leviticus 23:15). This is to be a counting filled with anticipation and joy. This exercise leads to another feast day – the one on which the Torah and the Ruach haKodesh worked in total unity. Together, they brought unity to His people... and they will again!

May our counting this year be filled with great anticipation as well. May our prayers be petitions for unity and peace among Israelites everywhere. It is by our love for one another that the world will know us. Our love for one another, and not our "perfected" doctrine, binds us together and gives us our strength.

To that end, we are calling for prayer and fasting (as led by the Spirit) during the days of June 1-3. Those days will be focused on preparing His people to be one in His hand. Hale Harris (MIA General Secretary) has asked that we pray in preparation for this fast for the Father to break down the walls of division and bring love, joy and peace to our midst as Israel. Pray that the God of Israel would use the fast to cleanse any iniquity that remains, preparing us as He prepared those written about in Acts 2, “they were all with one accord.” That He would speak to us about His perfect will for our lives in the immediate days to come.

The Father is bringing forth some amazing and important opportunities for Messianic Israel in the Land of Israel at this hour. The MIA has been presented with several legitimate and exciting possibilities there. Through working with one accord, we can have the impact that we need. As our founder Angus Wootten states, “it is a numbers game.” Angus is correct, but these the numbers need to be unified and not disjointed. We must seek His face as never before searching for His will for Israel at this hour. Together, we can make a huge statement in the Land and throughout the world. Is this the time? Let us fast and pray and see what He will do in our midst. May our prayer be, “Abba Father, lead, guide, and direct every step we take as your people and bring us into one accord again.” Please join us for such a time as this!
