Shalom to all in the MIA,
We are in the exciting days between First Fruits and Shavuot. We are to count the days leading to Shavuot with great anticipation of a bountiful harvest. For most of the world these instructions are forgotten. We of Redeemed Israel understand the significance of thse days. We count each day with increasing excitement as His harvest increases.
Harvesting is hard work. There is toil involved. There is effort. Much like our walk with Y'shua, we reap what we sow. We are instructed to show our faith through our work. Our work is to be fruitful as we proclaim the good news of salvation through Y'shua and disciple His people in His ways.
May your work be fruitful this season.
May you be encouraged as you toil in the noon day sun.
May you expeience an outpouring of His love as never before.
May His harvest be greatly increased through your Kingdom efforts.
May you count the days leading to Shavuot with a renewed passion for the restoration of all things.
Below you will read the news from our friends Chris and Rina Dryer. The Dryers live in Kerem Shalom, a kibbutz in the Negev in Israel. Kerem Shalom's border is the fence of the Gaza Strip. The Dryers and those around them are holding the Land right on the front lines. We thought you would enjoy hearing their pespective at this important hour in Israel and throughout the world. May YHWH bless them and keep them safe.
If you are led to contact the Dryers please call the MIA Home Office: 615-735-5072 and we will put you in touch with them.

To all our dear friends in Messiah,
Here at Kerem we are passing through a time of relative calm on the borders although not a night goes by without hearing shooting on the other side of the fence. Our need is to bring people to settle the kibbutz. We have to raise our numbers by 5 to 10 families as a matter of urgency. Please pray that the Father will send the families of His choice to come and settle the kibbutz.
At this time we are between Pesach and Shavuot (Pentecost). The word 'Pentecost' comes from the Greek 'pente' which is fifty. The fifty days between Pesach and Shavuot. I feel that we as believers do not always fully understand the need for the observance for the counting of the Omer.
The number fifty, in the Scriptures, stands for jubilee. This is a time of celebration. Traditionally at the time of jubilee, properties are returned to Hashem and commitments are renewed. As we prepare for the out pouring of the Ruach ha Kodesh, let us each day examine ourselves inwardly and purge ourselves of anything that could hinder a total anointing.
This period of preparation is similar to the time that the Catholics call Lent. Not that the counting if the Omer promotes a time of denial, although it could, but rather a time of drawing closer to Abba Father in preparation for the Comforter.
On the political front, the debate continues about the detachment from Gaza. We would love to hear your opinions from abroad. It can be good to hear outside comment to help temper the tension here. Personally, we feel that there should be disengagement from Gaza as the land is not Biblically ours but that we should maintain our hold on the areas of Judea and Samaria. We are hoping that the government will be able to secure some form of land exchange between the areas of Gaza and Judea and Samaria. As we all know, the Palestinians ultimately want all the Land of Israel, it will only be when the Messiah returns that ultimately we will have peace.
We pray daily for you all thank Abba Father for your prayers and support that we are so in need of in these troubled times.
Blessings to you and yours from us and ours,
Chris and Rina Dryer
