Yeshiva Sign Mockup

To support our mission of, "Equipping YHWH's people for the restoration of all things," the MIA will be establishing a yeshiva at Old Path's Assembly in Lucerne Valley California. This will be a house of study and retreat center focused on training up leaders and equipping all of Israel. One of our goals for this current year is to establish the infrastructure for this center.

Located on thirty acres in the high dessert in southern California, this facility is a wonderful place to study His Word and prepare His people. We are thrilled that Allen and Roberta Stanfield have offered their property for this Kingdom purpose. There are currently several houses, a worship center, industrial kitchen, recreational facilities, and a stocked pond on this property (among other surprises)!

THE UPDATE

Recently eight congregational leaders in the MIA met in Salt Lake City to discuss plans for the Messianic Israel Yeshiva. There were several steps taken towards making this goal a reality, one of which was changing the name to the Messianic Israel Study Center. After listening to feedback and time in prayer we felt the term yeshiva had too many rabbinic and denominational connotations. Our desire is to have a study center where all who seek a deeper walk with Messiah Y'shua are welcome. After all, we are building His nation not a denomination!

The Messianic Israel Study Center will have over fifteen instructors, experienced educators, a seven week face to face curriculum, and flexible scheduling that will meet your needs. In addition there will be ongoing mentoring, and true discipleship. The first courses are scheduled to begin in January of 2006. Stay tuned for further updates but for now we have some work to do to get the property prepared.

Therefore, we are changing the name of the camp to Camp Israel! So... what is Camp Israel? It is a summer camp for the young men of the MIA (ages 17-24). These volunteers will be working on maintenance and landscaping projects around the facility preparing it for the Study Center and Sukkot. They will be given housing, food, and fellowship in exchange for some labor and laughter. They will also be given some very useful instruction.

In the afternoons these young men will be instructed in wilderness survival techniques by experts Allen Stanfield and Ya'akov Rice. They will also participate in Hebrew language studies every day.

Camp Yeshiva will run from June 20 - 30, 2005. This unique "camp" is an opportunity for young men to contribute in a meaningful manner to the mission of the MIA and the needs of His people. They will experience wonderful fellowship while making a lasting contribution to His Kingdom.

Allen and Roberta Stanfield along with Ya'akov and Valerie Rice will be leading the camp. These faithful friends will watch over the youth while bringing out the best in all involved through their joyful spirits and the light of Y'shua.

This first camp will be limited to ten young men. These young men will be carefully selected from all who apply. At this time we feel it is wise to begin the work process with only young men. This is not meant to limit but rather to protect. Please know that there will be a later opportunity for young ladies to contribute as well!

Let's see what the YMIA can do! It is a wonderful thing to watch the next generation rise up and take charge.

For all who are interested in attaining an application or more information please call the MIA Home Office (800) 829-8777.
