The Appointment
We are thrilled to announce that IDF Colonel (Ret.) David Yaniv has accepted the appointment to the position of International Ambassador for the Messianic Israel Alliance. At a special dinner in the Seattle area, Scott Diffenderfer presented a certificate of recognition to David Yaniv proclaiming his appointment. The surprise dinner, wonderfully arranged by Sylvia and Daniel Calderon, included several members of Roots Messianic Congregation and David’s lovely bride, Sheila Yaniv.
In his capacity as International Ambassador, David is charged with “the mission of spreading the good news of Messiah Yeshua and the message of the restoration of all of Israel to people everywhere in behalf of the Messianic Israel Alliance and the God of Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’akov.”
Accepting the appointment Mr. Yaniv stated, “I am humbled to serve in this capacity and will do so with all of my strength.”

The Honor
We feel honored to be able to work with a man of David Yaniv’s caliber. He was an Israeli soldier who saw miracles in the Land as he defended his beloved country, then he suffered a crippling back injury and came to know the Messiah as his healer and Lord. David loves the whole house of Israel and is excited to proclaim the truth of the restoration of all of Israel under King Yeshua.
The Opportunity
As a result of this appointment, Mr. Yaniv received a letter of congratulations from long-time friend Paul Crouch of TBN. Mr. Crouch has also invited David onto the TBN program to speak of his appointment and the work of the Messianic Israel Alliance. MIA Founders Angus and Batya Wootten and COO Scott Diffenderfer have been invited to join David Yaniv on the TBN broadcast. This is an opportunity to reach millions of Christians throughout the world with the good news of the restoration of all of Israel. We are scheduled to appear on TBN’s Behind the Scenes program on April 27 with Paul Crouch.
In conjunction with David Yaniv’s invitation to appear on TBN, we are looking for a few generous people to underwrite travel expenses for David, Scott, Angus, and Batya. We estimate these expenses to be approximately $3500. Since the invitation was unexpected, these costs are not budgeted.
