![]() On Monday, April 9, 2007, Kip Hymas’ wife, Mary Elizabeth Orr Hyams left this world and is now at rest in the Messiah. She made this transition during the Pesach season. She fought a very long, hard battle of a cancer that was located in the sacrum area of her lower back. She was receiving treatments from a wonderful hospital in Mexico, which had been very successful, and the cancer was believed to have been retreating, but the cancer had made Mary Elizabeth’s body tired and frail. At the end it is believed that her body basically gave out and her body just stopped working. We believe she is now walking and dancing with Abba in the fullness of the total healing that He promised her when He created her. She was a well-respected Immigration Attorney by profession, and helped countless people to be welcomed into these blessed United States. She was also an accomplished Torah teacher, and was always in search of the Truth. She was known for speaking truth and life to those who came in to her office, or her Messianic bookstore called Manna Gifts. She made it her life’s passion to pursue the truth of the Torah, and followed Yahweh and Yeshua every waking moment of every day. Her Pastor, Jude Garcia, had planned to take Mary Elizabeth to the Philippines this next year to teach at his two churches there, besides at her home church “Crosstower Ministries, in Anaheim, California. Together with Kip, they were leaders in a home fellowship called Orange Home Fellowship and had started a group called “Changing Hearts Ministries.” Mary conducted some very special conferences over the years in California which changed hearts. She was a dedicated wife to Kip Hyams, an accomplished Special Event Producer of large secular events as well as many of church conferences. You would often see Mary supporting him as he worked for the MIA producing the various conferences they had throughout the country. Despite her physical battles, Mary was an accomplished woman who was upbeat and fun to be with. She touched the lives of many people, was a great source of wisdom and encouragement and will be deeply missed by those who loved her. Mary leaves behind her husband, Kip, a brother, Dr. Fred Orr, and her parents, Dr. Horace and Mary Orr, plus her beloved “Service Dog,” Buster. We ask that you please keep Kip in your prayers, that the Father might comfort and strengthen him, and give him the wisdom he needs to make the decisions that have to be made at this difficult time. The funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 17, at 11:00 AM, at Celebration Center Church. 1137 Bryn Mawr Ave, Redlands, CA 92374, (909) 796-3510. Because of overwhelming requests, there will be an open mic reception following internment at the Montecito Memorial Park in Colton, California. If you know anyone who knew Mary, please forward this information to them.
