What a glorious day! It is a marvelous honor to be in the MIA Home Office and partake of the exciting events happening within the lives of His people throughout the world. Often I am asked, “So what the heck do you do all day?” Well, here is a little glimpse of the function of the MIA. First thing this morning we gathered several messages left from the night before. One was from a lady who wanted more information about our vineyard project n the Negev with Chris and Rina Dreyer. This kind lady wants to get involved in meaningful ways in the Land. We will help do just that. Then there was a call from one of our traveling “ambassadors” who was in Wyoming heading south, teaching along the way. He called to touch base, and check on our Sukkot gatherings and Outreach Conference schedule. We were able to laugh and encourage each other. That is important, for as they say, “laughter is good medicine.” Our old friend Dale from the Virgin Islands called to add his Sukkot site to our group – becoming the twelfth Sukkot site to join our cooperative of world-wide Sukkot gatherings. I jokingly told him that I just came across a teaching that said Tabernacles was to be kept in February and that I would be happy to visit his Sukkot gathering then. With all the calendar controversy this year, it seemed humorously appropriate. Hmmm – Tabernalces, February, Virgin Islands! A call came in from a new Way Station in Santa Barbara, California. This dear lady is preparing to feed the flock that will be coming to her door over the coming months as YHWH leads. She wanted to make sure that her shelves were stocked with spiritual food – the books of Messianic Israel. Then it was a call from Las Vegas. This person wanted to order a book but received a bit more. She and her husband have been on the Hebraic road for a few years and studying hard. She felt they were all alone in Las Vegas. Not alone anymore, she was put in touch with one of those fellowships in the MIA Directory – someone just a few miles away and another just down the highway a bit! She said, “This is like fresh manna.” I said, “Thanks Abba.” We talked about our Sukkot gathering in California and other friends in Colorado who could greatly help in her journey. The MIA was doing its thing! A truck driver from Chicago called looking for books and tapes. He is an evangelist at heart. Winning souls is his delight and he needed a bit of equipment for the job. We were able to deliver the goods! A lady from somewhere out there called. She was about to give a teaching on the shofar and just wanted someone to pray for her. Somehow, she got our number and I was honored to oblige her request. We prayed that the Ruach would be her voice and that she would only speak the words that YHWH would giver her. The prayer seemed to help. I await the good report. Richard from out west called with encouraging words and to update his directory listing. While we do not get to speak to everyone as often as we would like, the time we do spend on the phone with our faithful friends is so up lifting – for both parties. To hear the stories from the front lines of the restoration and to be able to offer some help is a wonderful blessing. Our new friend Frederick from Ohio called to confer on the Sukkot site we are coordinating in the Buckeye State. He just wanted to chat, compare ideas, and move things forward a bit more. Day by day that is what we attempt to do – nudge His Kingdom forward a bit. When we each do our part, the load is light. Finally, we got the Torah Commentaries up on the web site and out to our e-list. By now, it was after 11:00 pm and time for bed. Of course, in between these exciting calls we stuffed boxes, prayed with people for specific needs, sent out several letters, answered many e-mails, read the mail, and tried to straighten out our directory. A day in the life of the MIA – your MIA - connecting and encouraging His people in preparation for Messiah’s return. I share all this with you for two reasons. First, be encouraged the restoration of all things is under way! The prophecies spoken by Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Hosea are coming to pass in our generation. Next, I want to exhort you to get involved. If you have a Bible Study, home fellowship, congregation or a heart for Israel please call to be added to our Directory. When someone like the lady from Las Vegas calls they want to know if there is anyone else in their area who sees the truth of Scripture concerning the restoration of all of Israel. The only source we have to find someone is our directory. We need everyone who is led to be on it. Please help us to connect His people in real and meaningful ways. Here is one way - consider becoming a Messianic Israel Way Station – be prepared for the ingathering with great books and materials to equip His people. Call for details or check out www.messianicisrael.com – do it today for the time is short! Please know that we are here to serve you and it is such a blast! There are so many great people out there handling their part of the restoration of all things with all their might. His Word is alive and true. Please step up and be a significant part of this exciting prophetic ministry. Let us here from you soon! We will keep answering the calls, encouraging His people and serving their needs as best we can. We are building a nation. Tomorrow the work continues – halleluyah! I bid you goodnight from Tennessee and blessings to your home. |
