We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our faithful family of the MIA a very Happy Hanukkah. This season of dedication is much more than a time to light a few candles, sing happy songs, and exchange gifts. This is the Feast of Dedication.

We encourage you to seek Abba’s face and search your soul during the next eight days. The story of Hanukkah centers on one family who stood for truth, righteousness, and the God of Israel. One family was able to lead a nation and restore the Temple of YHWH.

Today, that temple is in the form of each one of us. We are the living temple where our Messiah now dwells. We have all we need: His Word, the Ruach Hakodesh, and Y’shua our Messiah. The only thing we have to do is to utilize all that has been given to His people. We already possess the greatest gift ever given. This is not a time for gifts; this is a time for action. We simply need to take hold of His garment and cleanse our individual temples.

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. (Eph. 5:27)

Our call is to holiness. We are rebuilding a holy nation. It starts within each individual. May we all seize the opportunity this season brings and rededicate our temples to the Mighty One of Israel.

As you light your menorah each evening may you take a few minutes to ask YHWH what He would like you to rededicate within your temple. Let us clean up the dark areas and move into the light. May we be as brave as the Maccabees, and as determined, as we cleanse our temples.

During each night of Hanukkah the light of our menorah increases. May your light shine brightly in this dark world as we celebrate the rededication of our temples to the King of Kings.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (Mat. 5:14-16)

Happy Hanukkah from the MIA!
