The MIA will be hosting a trip to Israel for the Feast of Tabernacles 2006. Financial Information

The entire tour is $2850 for those who confirm their reservation before April 1, afterwards the price will increase to $2995. A $100 (non-refundable) deposit will confirm your reservation. Day 1: Wednesday, October 11
Depart U.S. via Delta Airlines for Israel from Atlanta, GA

Day 2: Thursday, October 12

Day 3: Friday, October 13

Day 4: Saturday, October 14
Galilee Hotel
After breakfast we head to the Galilee – Along the way we will get a view of the Costal Plains, from which Apostle Paul departed on his missionary journeys.  We go by way of CAESAREA by the sea, where Paul converted Carnelius and Paul was a prisoner.  Next, we are off to see the AQUADUCTS for a glimpse of how math figured in the need for water.  After this short visit we are off to MEGIDDO to visit some of Solomon’s stables that existed here.  We are off to visit ZIPORI – First Temple period, 3rd Century A.D. Mosaics, an old Roman theatre that seated 5000 people.  A very nice view, Northwest of Nazareth.  We end the day at KFAR KEDEM – A true hands on experience, dress in Biblical dress, see how to winnow wheat, live sheep, goats, and rams.  Also a donkey ride, fresh hot tea and unleavened bread. 

Day 5: Sunday, October 15

After breakfast we visit GINNASOR preparing for our boat ride on the Galilee.  Then we dock at CAPERNAUM and view the Old Synagogue ruins, the house of Peter the disciple of Yeshua (Jesus).  Then onto MT ARBEL for a scenic view of the Galilee, at the foot of Mt Arbel is the village of Bethsaida the home of the Apostles Andrew, Peter and Philip.  We now are going towards the north to the TEL BENTAL where we get a view of the plains of Syria.  We move on to BANIAS to the location where Yeshua asked the disciples “who do you say I AM”?  This is a beautiful nature reserve.  We now will visit old SYRIAN BUNKERS near Banias.  After dinner we will take a special trip into Tiberias for shopping and The Galilee Experience.

Day 6: Monday, October 16

After breakfast we will visit BEIT SHEAN, a Roman DeCapolis, King Saul’s head was displayed, one of Israel’s best archaeological sites.  We then visit TEL HAZOR, the largest Tel in Israel.  Joshua took this town and burnt it to the ground.  From here we visit the “YARDENIT” for a Mikvah in the Jordan River.  Back to the hotel.  After dinner free time.

Day 7: Tuesday, October 17

After breakfast we check out of the Galilee Hotel and head towards the Jordan – Israel border – As we travel the border we can see the Judean Desert as we arrive at JERICHO to see the SPRINGS OF ELISHA (releases 1,000 gallon of water a minute), also we will see what is said to be the Sycamore Tree Zacchaeus climbed to see and hear Yeshua.  From here we travel to QUMRAN CAVES, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.  Here we will visit the cave site only, shop and have lunch.  We move on to EIN GEDI to walk up to the water falls that the Sheppard David hid from King Saul – a beautiful climb with Acacia trees, Tamarisk Trees, Broom Trees which all played an important part through out the Bible.  Also you might see Ibex deer, coney’s or hyrax and gecko’s.  We then head to the Kibbutz Ein Gedi Youth Hostel to check in, freshen up relax and dinner.  After dinner we will have a “camp fire” in the desert which will give us a real feeling of “Tabernacle in the desert.

Day 8: Wednesday, October 18

After our “Desert Breakfast” we will visit MASADA – a 400 meter plateau.  First occupied by the  Hasmoneans in First Century BCE, but later on was turned into a unique mountain top by Herod The Great.  Here Herod had a very beautiful fortified palace.  Later on after Herod’s death a group of people called the Zealots took over this fortress.  We will learn more about this beautiful mountaintop as the Tour Guide guides us.  As we leave Masada we will prepare for a beautiful ride in the desert – by Camel.  Yes, a Camel ride in the Dead Sea area.

Day 9: Thursday, October 19

After another great breakfast we are ready to ascend to Jerusalem.  We will stop on MT SCOPUS to view the city before we begin over visit to the Holy City.  Our day will begin where we left off with the RABBI’S TUNNEL, VIA DOLOROSA, the ECCE HOMOARCH, next we visit the CITADEL OF DAVID – Here we can get a view of the Old City looking down.  Next we visit the UPPER ROOM and then the TOMB OF KING DAVID.  Then free time and shopping.

Day 10: Friday, October 20

Day 11: Saturday, October 21

Free Day up to 2:00 pm.  We will make our way to JAFFA to view the City and the Mediterranean Sea before our last meal at the “Maganda” Yemenite Restaurant.  Depart for Airport for our trip home.

Day 12: Sunday, October 22
Arrive back in the U.S.
