We are being given some rather incredible opportunities to open doors to a greater presence and participation in the land of Israel. See: Taking advantage of these opportunities will require providing the people and funding necessary to create a creditable presence that will be able to participate in a meaningful way in the land. To do this, it is envisioned that members of the MIA and other partner organizations, will work together with Israelis who are living in the land, to launch a joint endeavor to be called "B’nai Ephraim" (Sons of Ephraim). These individuals will represent a broad spectrum of experiences. Some are Israeli citizens, some are permanent residents, some are government officials, some of them recognize Yeshua as the Messiah, and some do not. However, they have one thing in common, they recognize each other as equal members of the people of God. One of the first objectives envisioned for B’nai Ephraim would be to train young non-Jews, men and women, to serve in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). Imagine the message that this would send to our brother Judah as he struggles to hold the Land. For B’nai Ephraim to launch and actually begin a process that will have people being trained for the IDF, as an initial step in our return to the Land, tens of thousands of dollars will be required. Then the actual cost of transportation, housing and training for a year would cost additional tens of thousands. The MIA and our partners do not currently have the people or the funding available for such a project. In fact, we are struggling at the moment to establish a vineyard in Israel, which surely is a step in the right direction. Yet, if we want to change our presence and impact in the land, we need to do something different. And the two key areas that require major change are more people and greater funding. The Challenge of Fulfilling Our Eternal Destiny, outlines why the stimulus payment which the government will be paying out in May is an excellent way to meet our people numbers and funding needs. Therefore, a Stimulus Campaign is being conducted which could provide the funding and a good start in increasing our numbers. The purpose of the campaign is to use the government’s gift to stimulate the economy and at the same time reach out to the lost sheep with the message of their heritage and destiny. The new feast book, Israel’s Feast and their Fullness - Expanded Edition, is one of the most effective ways to stir the interest of the lost sheep in their heritage. Therefore, people are encouraged to use all, or part, of their gift to purchase and distribute the feast book. If effectively distributing books is a challenge, we have several excellent sources of distribution. If you provide books we will insure that they are effectively distributed through a combination of congregations, fellowships and bookstores. As people distribute these books, they need to be encouraged to not only give out books, but they need to encourage the people receiving the books to follow in their footsteps. This is what happened in 1998 when many believers each purchased ten copies of Who Is Israel? And Why You Need to Know. As they distributed them, they successfully encouraged many of those receiving the book to purchase copies and pass them out. This effort resulted in 10,000 books being circulated in nine months and gave birth to the Messianic Israel Alliance the following year. Passing out 10,000 copies of Israel's Feasts and their Fullness - Expanded Edition in 2008 may very well generate the numbers of B’nai Ephraim (Sons of Ephraim) necessary to inaugurate the beginnings of a return to our land. It has the potential of enabling the funding and numbers to provide the initial class of a hundred young men and woman who would voluntary to train for, and serve as soldiers, in the Israeli Defense Forces. Imagine the lives that will be changed, and the testimonies that will result from these thousand-plus books which are currently being distributed. Better yet, imagine the added impact when the remaining nine thousand books feast books (for now just sitting in a warehouse), are distributed among the lost sheep. I pray that we do only what the Father tells us and shows us. I do believe that He has shown me this Stimulus Campaign. Wally Smith, of House of Israel Christian Fellowship, said it best when he told his congregation, “We have the people, and we have access to the necessary funds. You are the people, and the money is in your pocket!” Laboring together we can successfully serve YHVH’s purposes of regathering all of His lost sheep back to their own soil in our generation (Jer 23:1-8). We are well able! You can follow the lead of those that are stepping out to meet this challenge in several ways.
