"The glory of YHVH, our God, is in the multitude of His people" (Proverbs 14:28). To build His kingdom He says to Israel, "I shall take you to Myself as My people" and "and I shall be your God and you shall be My people" (Ex. 6:7; Eze 37:27). We who see ourselves as His people are His partners in establishing His kingdom on earth working with Him to unify His people. We know a divided kingdom, or house, cannot stand (Mat 12:25; Mark 3:24; Luke 11:17).

We accomplish our kingdom building by walking as Yeshua walked (1John 2:6). We need to not only to recite Yeshua’s prayer, “thy kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven,” but we are expected to be actively working for its fulfillment (Mat 6:10). Since the kingdoms of this world are currently under the rule of Satan, our challenge is to defeat him, and prepare the way for the return of our Messiah and the establishment of His kingdom on earth (Mat 4:8; Rev 11:15).

Satan has held sway over the kingdoms of this world for some six thousand years. His word’s caused our ancestors to be driven from the garden and resulted in our being sentenced to death, and he continues his attempts to destroy us with a torrent of words (Rev 12:15). Yet we know that he will be defeated (Rev 20:1-2). Our eternal destiny may very well be influenced by how we participate in his defeat. Each of us needs to answer the question, “Will YHVH use me in any way to defeat Satan, and if so how will He use me?”

Yeshua is the Word made flesh (John 1:1). It was with words that the world was created, and it is with words that the Messianic Kingdom will be established on earth. Yeshua, when confronted by Satan’s words, overcame him with the Word (Mat 4:3-10). We, who are made in the image and likeness of Yeshua, are told that we to can overcome Satan and his words by, “the blood of the Lamb, and the word of our testimony, and by not loving our lives even when faced with death” (Rev 12:11).

The War of Words started when the serpent said to the woman:

"Indeed, has YHVH said, 'You shall not eat from any tree of the garden?'" The woman said to the serpent, "From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, YHVH has said, 'You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.'" The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die! For YHVH knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like YHVH, knowing good and evil." When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate (Gen 3:1-6).

Imagine, if Eve, or Adam, had answered Satan’s temptations as Yeshua did, "Leave Satan! For YHVH has said, 'You shall worship YHVH, your God, and serve Him only'" (Mar 4:10). If they had answered in the manner that Yeshua did, they would have said, "Leave Satan! For we will obey and serve YHVH, our God. He has said that we are not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for in the day that we eat from it, or touch it, we will surely die. So, begone Satan, for we have no intention of eating from the tree, or even touching it" (Rev 2:16-17).

Adam and Eve had been given the opportunity to have eternal life in the garden in the presence of YHVH. Quite naturally, knowing the consequences of the decision that Adam and Eve made, we would all agree that if we had been Adam or Eve, we would not have listened to Satan. No matter how attractive the fruit from the tree looked, we would not have eaten from it. Well that was then, but how are we handling Satan’s attempts today to dissuade people from following YHVH’s commandments, by using the same tactics he used with Adam and Eve of making disobedience appeal to our physical senses?

Adam and Eve were given the right to eat freely from any tree of the garden, other than the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. So, you could say, “Their portion was the fruit from all the trees in the garden, except the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil which YHVH had reserved for Himself. Therefore, their test was, would they obey and serve YHVH as their God, and not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Or, would they be led by another god (Satan the god of this world) and succumb to temptation and eat the forbidden fruit?

Our test, like Adam and Eve, is to determine whether we will accept or reject temptation. We have been promised that YHVH will open the windows of heaven and pour out for us blessings until they overflow. He also promises to rebuke the devourer for us, so that the devourer will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will our vine in the field cast its grapes. And thus all the nations will call us blessed, for we shall be a delightful land (Mal 3:10-12). Unfortunately, as we view the world today, we see that the windows of heaven have not been opened and poured out overflowing blessings on the Promised Land, and allowed us to return to our own soil (Jer 23:1-8). Has YHVh failed to keep His promises, or have we failed to meet His requirements for their fulfillment?

Have we, like Adam and Eve, given into the temptation of not being satisfied with the portion that YHVH has given us, but wanting all or part of His portion as well? Have we turned aside from His statutes and failed to bring the whole tithe into His storehouse? Have we robbed YHVH in our tithes and offerings, and therefore, been cursed with a curse, for having robbed Him? (Mal 3:8-9)

Fortunately, for those of us who may have stumbled, YHVH’s blessings are new every morning (Lam 3:22-23). Unlike Adam and Eve we are given the opportunity to “Return to YHVH, and have Him return to us" (Mal 3:7). How will we return?

One way may well be wondering how we may handle a unique opportunity that we are being given. We are not looking at attractive forbidden fruit, rather we are being given an unexpected gift. The United States government is going to give literally every one of its adult citizens a gift of $600 to stimulate the country’s economy. Whether this idea originated with YHVH or not, the results of how each individual handles their gift will be surely be viewed with interest in the throne room.

Yeshua tells us to "render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and to YHVH the things that are YHVH's" (Mat 22:21). The Government expects that the recipients of their gift will use the $600 to stimulate the economy of the United States. This is accomplished by spending the money on goods and services produced in the United States. At the same time we need to ask just how does YHVH expect His people to use this gift. He undoubtedly expects, as the government does, that it will be used to stimulate the United States economy. At the same time however, it can also be used to stimulate His people to take an active part in His work of creating His Kingdom, by working with Him towards the unity of His people.

Perhaps this is not a test of whether we spend this gift on ourselves, or spend it to fulfill the desires of YHVH, our God, to have multitude of His people for His possession. It is surely an excellent opportunity to stimulate YHVH’s people, and bring a lot of lost sheep to a knowledge of their heritage and purpose.

There are a variety of ways in which we can fulfill the expectations of our government and at the same time be an active partner with YHVH, our God, in redeeming, reuniting and restoring His people Israel. We can purchase and distribute books. DVD’s and CD’s, printed and produced in the United Sates, and we can help enable the MIA and Key of David Publishing to distribute them. We can attend and be supportive of conferences, conducted in the United States, that will better prepare us to be effective witnesses to the lost sheep.

I know that there are lot of reasons for the Stimulus Package, which was approved in February, but I cannot help but feel that it was an answer to my cry, which I made back in late November 2007, in an article, Israel’s Feast’s and their Fullness - Expanded Edition Coming Soon.

Imagine, if Key of David Publishing was able to send a press release and copy of the book [Israel’s Feasts and their Fullness - Expanded Edition] to the various types of media that promote books. Imagine ads placed in appropriate papers, magazines, on TV and radio stations. Imagine 6,500 Christian book stores being aware of the book, by giving copies of it to as many stores as possible, and by sending flyers to all the stores, and advertizing in appropriate trade publications. Imagine through mailings, advertisement in appropriate media, and personal contacts, having as many pastors of the 360,000 Churches in America as possible, made aware of this book. Imagine reaching out and meeting the needs of lost sheep in other countries in their various languages.

It takes a lot of imagination on my part to envision even a small part of the above goals being accomplished. My thoughts after reviewing the financial requirements to get the job done were that it would be great if we had a Bill Gates or Warren Buffet who felt led to fund this harvest, which either could easily do. However, I felt our Father’s answer to my cry for help was, "I have chosen the forerunners of Messianic Israel to reach My scattered sheep. They may not individually have the wealth of a Gates or Buffet, but they have the numbers and dedication, and they will provide the funding and personnel resources required to accomplish these tasks."

As Wally Smith the Pastor of the House of Israel Christian Fellowship (a MIA) ally, told his congregation this past Shabbat. “YHVH has given us the funds to get the job done, but they are in your pocket!” The congregation’s initial order was for seven cases of Israel’s Feasts and their Fullness – Expanded Edition (140 books). The Stimulus Package does collectively give the forerunners of Messianic Israel the funds to make a big inroad in fulfilling the goals outlined in November.
