The following was brought to my attention by my Uncle, Robert B. Erly, Vice Admiral, USN Ret., whose passion is anyslizing the current world situation in light of his long military carreer. His career began with his graduation from the Navel Academey in 1938. One of his career highlightshs was being in the midst of the fray at Pearl Harbor on December 7, for which he received the Navy Cross for valor .
