Dear Mr. President: Congratulations on Not Returning to Egypt! Rejecting President Hosni Mubarak’s request to set a deadline for the creation of a Palestinian state was undoubtedly difficult for you. You deserve a reward for a job well done. The reward is, you have been given a bigger and more important task. That task was given to you by Mubarak when he called for Washington to come up with a vision that would bridge the serious divisions between Israel and the Palestinians. This is no easy task. It can be equated to trying to mix oil and water. As an old oil man you know this is impossible task. We know that you and your staff are praying for God’s help in developing a vision that will truly bring peace between the Israelis and Palestinians. Fortunately, God has provided a solution for you in a pattern that has worked for the past fifty-four years in Israel: Make them both equal citizens of one state. Presently the State of Israel includes a million Arabs among its citizens. There has been no outcry from these Arab citizens in Israel, or from the world, that they are being mistreated. Quite the contrary, there are even Arab members of the Knesset. In fact there has not only not been an outcry to deliver these Arabs citizens from Israel, the reverse is true. Some three to four million Arabs, claiming to be the descendants of the 750,000 refugees that fled during the 1948 War of Independence, want back in. Integrating the West Bank and the Gaza Strip into the present State of Israel. would result in a state with a population of 9,730,000. Of which: 5,190,000 would be Jews; 3,980,000 Muslims (Arab); and 560,000 Christians (many of which are Arab). Such integration would bring immediate peace, because the Arabs believe they could win the ensuing population battle and thus achieve their objective of having a state in which they would be in the majority. It would be a population battle. But at least it would be a battle of protecting and creating life, rather than killing one another. However, the big advantage of this solution is that it does not divide God’s Land. We continue to encourage you not to allow a legacy of your administration to be that you divided God’s Land! Rather, we continue to urge you Mr. President to take the position that there will be no more division of the land Israel. Separately I have sent you a paper titled, Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria or a Palestinian State, Which Will It Be? which deals more fully with this proposal. Further, I am sending you a copy of the current issue of the Messianic Israel Herald which includes a copy of this article. Mr. President you are in our prayers as you meet with Prime Minister Ariel Sharon tomorrow. Talk with him about the integration of the West Bank and Gaza Strip into Israel. I am sure that he will be open to it. Shalom in our generation, |
