Dear Mr. Prime Minister: Your upcoming meeting with President Bush and Mahmoud will greatly influence the future of the Jewish state in this generation. I believe that you are well aware that the world will not allow a further continuation of “Occupied territories.” Thus you have two choices: (1) Basically return to the 1967 borders (you may be able to retain a few settlements), or (2) Annex the ancient Israelite kingdoms of Judea and Samaria (The West Bank), creating a greater Israel. Annexation will result in a population battle to maintain an Israelite majority in the enlarged state. It is a battle which the Arabs believe they can win. Therefore, they will be supportive of a plan that would make them full citizens of Israel. After all, you do not have a problem with the million Arabs in the present state trying to leave. However, it is a battle that can be won by the people of Israel, by encouraging the return not only of Jews (Judah), but also those who are of Joseph, and thus fulling Jeremiah’s prophecy (23:7-8). “‘Therefore behold, the days are coming,’ declares the LORD, ‘when they will no longer say, ‘As the LORD lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘As the LORD lives, who brought up and led back the descendants of the household of Israel from the north land and from all the countries where I had driven them.’ Then they will live on their own soil.” As you ponder your decision please keep four things in mind:
Mr. Prime Minister we pray that you will seize the moment, and claim a greater portion of the inheritance promised by the Holy One of Israel to our twelve tribes. Angus Wootten cc: President George Bush |
