Like the passengers on 9-11, we too are flying into the unknown. How will we react on the day we meet our final destiny? Will we emulate the courage and resolve of the passengers on United Flight 93? Will we keep our enemies from accomplishing their goals? Or will we prove to be impotent spectators, ineffective people who allow their enemies to achieve their goals? On 9-11 passengers boarded four flights that took each of them to an unexpected fate. Each one came face to face with radical Islamic terrorism. Those on United Flight 93 recognized it for the pure evil it was, and they died thwarting its likely mission - which was to destroy the White House. Those on the other three flights also died. However, it appears that they either lacked opportunity, or understanding of the situation, and apparently did not resist the radical Islamic terrorists, or at least not successfully. American Flight 11 and United Flight 175 destroyed the Twin Towers, and American Flight 77 damaged the Pentagon. These four flights have dramatically affected our lives in many ways. One way is that the memory of the event serves to warn us that we too are passengers flying to an unknown destiny. We, as Israelites, are involved in four similar events, which for the sake of illustration we will characterize as Thwart-The-Promise Flights. These parabolic flights will have an even greater impact on the world, and on our own futures, than did the flights of 9-11. Each of the flights of which we speak faced, or will face, Islamic terrorism. However, there is a major difference between our Thwart-The-Promise Flights and those of 9-11. We not only know the intended goals of our terrorists, but we also know very well that they are on the flight with us! We also know our fanatical enemies seek to wipe us off the face of the earth! Two of these flights have taken place, and we are currently on the third flight. The fourth flight is yet future. Our first flight was Thwart-The-Promise Flight 1. It took place in the Sinai in 1979-1982. Following the Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty of 1979, Israel agreed to withdraw from the Sinai Peninsula. The people of Israel withdrew from land promised to them as an everlasting possession by the Holy One of Israel, and they did so in exchange for supposed peace with their neighbor. For over two decades, the Sinai Peninsula was home to about 7,000 Israelis. Many were opposed to the idea of giving up land for an uncertain peace. Over 3,000 settlers in the town of Yamit opposed the withdrawal and violently resisted the evacuation of their homes. Under Ariel Sharon's command, the IDF forcefully evacuated settlers from Yamit. Images of Israeli civilians being dragged from their homes by Israeli soldiers still resonates in the minds of many of the children of Israel. By withdrawing from Sinai, the Jewish State gave up:
Unfortunately, Israel gave up far more than that. The Sinai and the invasion of Lebanon were highwater marks as far as the modern State of Israel possessing the Promised Land goes. Since 1982, the present State has been on a downhill slide in regard to retaining land once given into their hands. They are losing ground because they are pursuing their vision of a "Jewish State." They pursue this vision at the expense of a larger State, because, in the natural, they think it would fail to maintain a Jewish majority. Not being a majority frightens the Jewish people. Perhaps because that would require them to put their trust in the God of Israel to keep His promises regarding their land and greatly increased numbers. It also would call for them to recognize a branch of Israel that would surely give them those numbers. The Jews (Judah) are not alone in this losing of a high water mark. The other part of Israel, Christianity (Ephraim), is either serving as enablers, or at best are being impotent spectators. They too are losing ground. The definition for the word flight, in our Thwart-The-Promise Flights 1 and 2, should be the action of fleeing. This is what Judah and Ephraim did in the Sinai. We did the same on our second flight in 2005, when we fled from the Gaza Strip. Again, in Gaza, Ephraim was little more than an impotent spectator. We again sat idly by as land, once given to our brother Judah by the God of Israel, was given to people who served another god. Now, today, we are passengers on Thwart-The-Promise Flight 3. This flight is destined for the West Bank, and it is currently scheduled to land around 2010. The goal of the terrorists on this flight is to have the ancient kingdoms of Judea and Samaria given to their people, again, people who serve another god. 2010 is the target date set by the present secular government of Israel to turn over major portions of the present Israeli West Bank settlements to the Palestinians. It is interesting that the present State of Israel has not lost one square foot of land as the result of conventional armed conflict. Rather, they have given up land as the result of intimidation - and a lack of faith. Unfortunately, we, those of Ephraim Israel (Messianic Israel), also suffer from intimidation and a lack of faith. We have been intimidated into believing that we do not have the power or resources to make a difference. So we fail to use the power that we do have. And why would Yahveh give us more responsibilities and greater power when we have not fully used the power and resources He has already made available to us? Shema Israel! It is a given that the vast majority of Ephraimites are lost to their identity and purpose. However, even the forerunners whom Yahveh has granted the favor of understanding the mysteries of the kingdom (Matthew 13:11) have not, for the most part, exhibited actions that indicate they believe the Holy One of Israel is keeping His Word in our generation. Shema, or hear in Hebrew, is an action word; thus it requires a response! So, when Yahveh says the following, He is expecting us to not only hear, but to obey and act: "I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them back, Because I have had compassion on them; and they will be as though I had not rejected them. For I am Yahveh their God and I will answer them. Ephraim will be like a mighty man, and their heart will be glad as if from wine; indeed, their children will see it and be glad. Their heart will rejoice in Yahveh. I will whistle for them to gather them together, For I have redeemed them; And they will be as numerous as they were before.... Then I will bring him back to the land, and join him with Judah. Then together they will swoop down on the slopes of the Philistines on the west; they will plunder the sons of the east" (Zechariah 10:6-8; Isaiah 11:14). ln fulfilling these Scriptures Yahveh will use heralds and preachers, men and women, to deliver His end-time message of redemption reunification, and restoration, to the lost sheep of the whole house of Israel (Romans 10:15). As an old Colonel who forever wants to "take the hill," in the foregoing, I have outlined our problem and given the solution. The solution is to deliver Yahveh's end-time message of redemption, which will give us the hope, and the courage to be available when He calls us. The challenge is, how can we best accomplish this task? As every good soldier knows, it is not our hill until we put our men securely on top of the hill. To take the hills of the Promised Land, each of us, as watchmen on Israel's walls, have been assigned a post, a position, a project if you will (Habakkuk 2:1). I am happy to report that we have been given a vehicle that will help each of us accomplish our assigned tasks. It is a vehicle that Yahveh has been preparing for a quarter century. After all, none of these Thwart-The-Promise Flights came as a surprise to Him, He well knew both the problem and solution. Yahveh's AnswerEarlier I pointed out that 1982 marked the beginning of Israel's down-slide and loss of land. In pondering this dramatic turn of events I remembered something very interesting that took place in that same prophetic year. I believe it was Yahveh's answer to the Thwart-The-Promise Flights. In that year Batya Wootten asked a question in a House of David Herald, "Is the Church the Tribe of Ephraim?" This revolutionary newsletter took root and ultimately grew into the Messianic Israel Movement. But Yahveh was not finished, He had quite a bit of refining to do before that Newsletter could grow into a vehicle that would help get the job done. By 1988 the Newsletter had grown into a book, In Search of Israel. Next the Ruach gave Batya more understanding which grew into the Olive Tree of Israel in 1994, followed by Who Is Israel? And Why You Need Know in 1999. The advent of the seventh millennium brought forth Who Is Israel? Enlarged Edition, together with a Study Guide in 2000. In 2002 Ephraim and Judah - Israel Revealed, was published, and in 2003, Who Is Israel? Past, Present and Future, was published. All of these books have been standard bearers of this life changing, world changing, biblical understanding of Israel's identity and destiny. But the best was yet to come. During 2005 while Thwart-The-Promise Flight 2 was exiting the Gaza strip, Batya was taking a giant step forward. Building on twenty-five years of Spirit-led study and experience she put together a new and better vehicle for Messianic forerunners. It is one that will help take forth the message of redemption, reunification and restoration, and it will do so in a manner that will encourage the lost sheep to fulfill their divine destiny. Batya's latest book, Redeemed Israel - Reunited and Restored, not only concisely answers the "who" question, but it clearly shows from Scripture the "how, when, and why." This latest book has the potential to reach both the houses of Israel, Ephraim and Judah. It reveals how a people divided and lost for over two-thousand-nine-hundred-years, can be transformed into a united people who will accomplish Messiah Yeshua's mission, and restore David's fallen tent (Acts 15:13-16). It is a book that will surely help restore the Kingdom to Israel. How do we get this refined message out?The first step is to read this new book, to get its content into your being so the Ruach can call it to mind when you need it to accomplish the tasks He gives you. The next step is start sowing seed among the lost sheep. One excellent way to accomplish this task is to use our success in 1999 as a model. Our efforts in that eventful year laid the foundation for the Messianic Israel Alliance to become a vibrant and effective instrument for Israel's restoration. The way we did it was to distribute, in only nine months, ten thousand copies of Batya's book, Who Is Israel? And Why You Need to Know. Not only did we get the message out, but revenue from the sale of the books provided financial seed to fund the new Alliance. People purchased a packet of ten books for a hundred dollars and passed them out. They encouraged the recipient to read the book, and, borrowing a page from the network marketers, they encouraged them to follow their example and to purchase a packet of ten books themselves, then to pass them out and encourage their recipients to duplicate their efforts. Statistics tell us that the average book is passed around and eventually read by four people. This means that potentially these ten thousand copies may have been read by forty thousand people. You may be reading this posting because you were one of those forty thousand readers, who, not only read the book, but had a life-changing experience. And you can now change others, and hopefully the world, by helping to distribute this new book. We did it in 1999 and we can do it again! We might say the foundation stones of the Messianic Israel Alliance were a thousand boxes of ten copies of Who Is Israel? And Why You Need to Know. However, we are only getting started. We need to keep building. We need more stones. What better way to build than to get ten thousand copies of Redeemed Israel - Reunited and Restored in the hands of forty thousand people by the end of this year! I challenge you to join in accomplishing this worthy goal by ordering quantities of Redeemed Israel - Reunited and Restored at special discount prices by calingl 800-829-8777, or sending an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , or write Messianic Israel, PO Box 3263, Lebanon, TN 37088. All books ordered now will be shipped prior to the end of May. The new book will also be available at the Salt Lake City Conference. Since Yahveh has granted you the favor of understanding the mysteries of the kingdom, your destiny is, on some level, to be one of the heralds He will use to help bring restoration to His kingdom. By the way, if we are not successful in defeating the enemy on Thwart-The-Promise Flight 3, we will automatically be booked on Thwart-The-Promise Flight 4, on which we will see, at the very least, the division of the City of Jerusalem. We encourage you to arise and meet the challenge before us (Matthew 13 -11). Let us arise as did those on United Flight 93. Let us be Israelities that Shema! May we show by our actions that we beleive our God is well able!. Teshuw'ah b’ Yeshua, (Victory in Yeshua) |
