Created to Dance: Steps for Dance Worship with Daniel & Sylvia Calderon, Ministers of Dance in Worship.

New Jerusalem Designs has highlighted 22 dance steps to be used in Praise and Worship. These include traditional Messianic or Davidic style dance movements such as the mayim, cherkessia and yeminite step along with a new trend of movements such as the lunge step, cross balance and step fall.

Beginners and intermediate level worshippers will benefit significantly with learning additional ways of expressing the joy of honoring God in creative dance movements.

Knowledge of proper dance terminology is essential to understanding the choreography associated with every dance and will help train individuals to coordinate proper hand and foot movements.

God delights in His people as they express their love for HIm while moving in a pattern using both hands and feet. Learn to move in rhythm and harmony with Worshipful music during your personal and corporate worship. Remember, we must discipline ourselves to sow worship in our personal lives before reaping worship during our congregational worship times.

The communal nature of dance in worship has a scriptural basis. For example, in Psalm 149:3, we are instructed to "Let them praise His Name with dancing”. Scripture also states, "Go forth in the dances of them that make merry," and "Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together." (Jeremiah 31:4 & 13) The heavenly restoration of Tzion is communal dance.

There is a clear need to fuse the Spiritual with the physical.

This DVD includes 4 dance practice sessions using a combination of steps to improve coordination.
